Moreover, Lackenhof is very well located: the international airport of Vienna can be reached
in about two hours by car. To get to the Hungarian or Slovak capital, you need about 2.5 to 4 hours by car. The village is close to Vienna and yet away from the hustle and bustle of the big city.

In winter, a real "pilgrimage" for skiers begins here. The ski slopes of varying difficulty are available to visitors, whether you are a beginner or already a professional, everyone will find something for themselves to enjoy the vacation to the fullest.
There are all the conditions for this here: The ski area is located at an altitude of 800 - 1,400 m and has 19 kilometers of slopes with a total of 9 ski lifts.  Over 60 days there is a natural snow cover with more than 20 cm of snow. Furthermore, 37,000 m of ski slopes can be artificially snowed with 36 lances. In addition, there are 17 km of cross-country ski trails, 6 skating trails and 17 km of winter hiking trails!
